Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu game reserve

Pick up from your hotel at 0700 hrs.and depart for the dramatic semi-arid scrub land of the Northern Frontier. Arrival in Samburu will be by lunch time. After lunch embark on a game drive to sight resident wildlife species like the Reticulated Giraffe, Gravy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx and the Blue-necked Somali Ostrich that are rare elsewhere in the country. Dinner and overnight will be at the spectacular Samburu Ashnil lodge

Day 2: Samburu Game Reserve

Today you will spend the full day in the Samburu National Park. You will have early morning and evening game drives. All your meals and overnight will be at your Samburu Ashnil lodge

Day 3: Samburu – Mount Kenya

After breakfast depart towards the Mount Kenya region of the country. Arrival at the Serena Mountain Lodge will be in time for a delicious lunch. The unique architecture of Mountain Lodge, with its numerous viewing decks, balconies and lounges over the salt-lick waterhole allow for the pleasure of all night game viewing. Dinner and overnight at the Serena Mountain lodge.

Day 4: Mt. Kenya – Lake Nakuru National park

After breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru. Arrival will be in time for lunch at your lodge, located inside the Lake Nakuru National Park. In the afternoon you will embark on a game drive where you will have the opportunity to spot leopards, rhino and the famous pink flamingos as well as a variety of other wildlife. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Sarova Lion Hill Lodge

Day 5: Lake Nakuru- Maasai Mara

After breakfast depart for Masai Mara – the land of vast migrating animals. Arrival will be in time for lunch. After lunch embark on a game drive. Dinner and overnight at a splendid Mara Sarova Game lodge

Day 6/7: Maasai Mara

Full days spent exploring the park in search of the big 5 – Optional balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost of US$ 450 per person. Dinner and overnight stay at Mara Sarova Game Lodge

Day 8 Masai Mara – Lake Naivasha

We depart the Lodge soon after breakfast and proceed to Lake Naivasha. Visit to hells gate national park- this park can be explored on foot or by cycling- bicycles are available for hire at an extra cost. Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge

Day 9: Lake Naivasha – Amboseli National park

Break then proceed for morning boat ride at Lake Naivasha – proceed to Amboseli national park. Via Nairobi –Amboseli is the magnificent park at the foot hills of Mt.Kilimanjaro. After noon game drives followed by dinner and overnight stay at Amboseli Serena or Oltukai Lodge

Day 10: Amboseli – Lake Manyara National park

Early breakfast then drive into Tanzania via the Namanga border. We also pass through Arusha to Lake Manyara National park with lunch enroute. Afternoon game drives proceed to Lake Manyara serena for dinner and overnight stay

Day 11 : Lake Manyara – Serengeti National park

Early breakfast then proceed to Serengeti National park with packed lunches – game is viewed as we proceed to Serengeti Sopa Lodge for dinner and overnight stay

Day 12: Serengeti National park

Full day spent exploring the park. Morning and afternoon game drives are offered. Dinner and overnight stay at Serengeti Sopa or Serena lodge

Day 13: Serengeti – Ngorongoro conservation area via Oldivai gorge

After breakfast and with picnic boxes and proceed for further game drives -we visit Olduvai Gorge and learn about the 1.8 million-year-old fossil discoveries of Louis and Mary Leakey which forever changed our view of early man.

Continue your journey to Ngorongoro the largest intact caldera in the world and our home tonight is Ngorongoro Serena perched on the jagged rim of the world’s oldest caldera. Created from river-stone and cloaked in indigenous creepers, this superlative lodge blends effortlessly into its surrounds. In the later afternoon we check into the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge for dinner and a welcome rest. Meal plan is full board.

Day 14: Ngorongoro Crater tour

Descend the crater soon after breakfast for a full day crater tour with packed lunches – ascend for dinner and overnight stay at Ngorongoro Serena lodge beautifully set by the crater rim for dinner and overnight stay

Day 15 : Ngorongoro – Tarangire National park

Early breakfast then proceed to Tarangire national park ; game drives .dinner and overnight stay at Tarangire Serena Lodge

Day 16 : Arusha – Nairobi

Breakfast at Leisure – drive to Arusha for lunch at Kibo palace hotel – transfer to Nairobi drop off at JKIA to board your home bound flight
